Daniel Hudon's interest in the cosmos has been expanding since he was
a kid (in Calgary, Canada) looking at the sky with binoculars, an activity
that, even after obtaining multiple post-secondary degrees in the subject,
he still considers one of life's great joys, right up there with world
travel and World Cup soccer.
He admits to spending, on his first trip to the 3.6-meter Canada-France-Hawaii
Telescope, almost as much time outside on the catwalk around the dome
observing the dark starlit sky as inside observing the telescope monitors.
He would hesitate to visit the prospective Very Very Large Telescope as
he might never come home.
When not promoting the universe at Boston University, he tries to plumb
the dark matter of his mind for articles in children's science magazines
about things that go bump in the cosmic night.
